Advanced Rheumatology of Houston is looking for a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Entry Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our growing outpatient clinic team.
This is a great opportunity for an LVN who enjoys building relationships with patients, working as part of a supportive team, and gaining experience in a specialized rheumatology setting. We are looking for someone who is organized, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
What You'll Do:
As an important member of our clinical team, you will assist with a variety of patient care and medication-related responsibilities, including:
- Medication management and maintenance of medication logs.
- Temperature monitoring and documentation.
- Receiving, organizing, storing, and monitoring medication deliveries.
- Rooming patients and preparing them for their visits.
- Obtaining and documenting patient vital signs.
- Assisting with patient assessments.
- Performing laboratory procedures and phlebotomy.
- Administering and monitoring medication infusions.
- Assisting with prior authorizations and referrals.
- Communicating with patients and helping provide a positive, welcoming experience.
What We're Looking For:
- Current LVN license.
- Infusion experience is preferred.
- Phlebotomy and outpatient clinical experience are preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Spanish-speaking skills are a strong plus.
- Must live within approximately a 30-minute drive of The Woodlands.
