Rheumatology Nurse Practitioner – Private Practice (The Woodlands, TX)

A well-established private rheumatology practice in The Woodlands is seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team. Position Overview
The Nurse Practitioner will work closely with the supervising physician to evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with rheumatologic diseases. The ideal candidate has prior experience in rheumatology and is comfortable managing chronic, complex conditions.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including history and physical exams.
  • Diagnose and manage rheumatologic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, and osteoarthritis.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs and imaging.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including biologic and DMARD therapies.
  • Provide patient education on disease management and medications.
  • Monitor treatment response and adjust care plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system.

Qualifications:
  • Active Texas Nurse Practitioner license.
  • Board certification (FNP, ANP, or AGNP).
  • Minimum 1–2 years of rheumatology experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
  • Experience with biologic therapies and infusion protocols is a plus.
  • Average of 15 - 20 patients per day.
